ChanceWelcome to Leavesden Terriers

We're based in Georgia and Parson Jack Russell Terriers are our hobby and our passion. We've been students of this breed for nearly 10 years and we find our terriers are always keeping us on our toes.

Our terriers are in the house, not in a kennel, so we're very limited in the number of dogs that we can keep. We breed very rarely, but when we do it's for a definite purpose.

We currently have one AKC/UKC registered brood bitch. She is our new foundation and we are confident that she will produce what we strive for: soundness in temperament, structure and in the field.

January 2005:

Chance whelped a single bitch puppy on Veterans Day. For our first AKC litter, we bred Chance to CH Blackbriar 'Da Nef-U, owned by Pat Wilcox. Pat has been breeding dogs with excellent structure and temperaments for 16 years and we think her Danny complements Chance very well.

DannyDanny, pictured at left, is a clean, balanced mover and is very people-oriented. He has a tight, weatherproof coat, small chest and a beautiful head. He goes back to many "old blood" terriers that are well-known producers and workers such as Garon's Sailor, Windermere Antic, Windermere Alibi, Windermere Solo, Riverview Flare, CH Corn Row Tyler, CH Blackbriar Balvenie and Imis of Willowall. Danny's dam, CH Blackbriar Taka Chance, is littermate to BIS BISS CH Blackbriar Watchme, the first Jack Russell to win an AKC Best in Show. Danny is the sire of CH Blackbriar Sudden Impact, a super example of the breed and one to keep an eye on.

We've named the puppy Leavesden Stella d'Oro after our favorite daylilly. Stella is very outgoing and extremely friendly. She's an independent little girl who captivates everyone she meets. At right is a photo of Stella taken at seven-and-a-half weeks.

February 2005:

Congratulations to CH Monterey Shoot the Moon, owned by Linda Cranford and bred by Nan Owen, for finishing his AKC Championship title at the February Greenville cluster. Shooter is littermate to Chance and is the third pup from that litter to finish his AKC title. All the pups from that litter (CH Eastlake Beacon x CH GRCH Fox Valley Flirt of Monterey) have earned UKC Championship titles.

April 2005:

Monterey pupCH GRCH Fox Valley Flirt of Monterey has produced another outstanding bunch of terriers. Sire of this litter is Cedarsprings Contender (CH Foxwarren Simon of Edison x Ch Posey Canyon Tazlberi Delight). The litter is BAER normal and all the puppies have tricolor markings.
